Convene Platform Rules for Recruiters
Convene is built on trust — between recruiters, candidates, and hiring companies. To keep the platform working well for everyone, all recruiters are expected to follow the rules below. Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
Candidate Conduct
- Do not submit duplicate candidates. If a candidate has already been submitted to a role by another recruiter, do not submit them again.
- Do not contact candidates without approval. You may search LinkedIn and use external tools to evaluate potential candidates, but you may not reach out to them until you have been approved for the role.
- Do not spam candidates. If a candidate has expressed disinterest, stop contacting them — regardless of the channel (email, LinkedIn, SMS, etc.).
- Represent candidates honestly. Only submit candidates you have spoken with directly and who have confirmed interest in the specific role.
Company & Role Representation
- Read the full role page before submitting. Failing to understand the requirements before submitting wastes the hiring manager's time and reflects poorly on the platform.
- Follow hiring manager instructions. If a hiring manager provides specific outreach or submission guidance, follow it.
- Respond to hiring manager feedback. Ignoring feedback from a hiring manager is grounds for removal from a role.
- Do not misrepresent the company. When speaking with candidates, only share information that the company has provided on the platform or that is publicly available on the company's website.
Platform Integrity
- Do not circumvent the platform. Engaging directly with employers you discovered through Convene — outside of the platform — is a violation of your Recruiter Agreement.
- Do not contact hiring managers or companies off-platform. If you discovered a role through Convene, all communication with the associated hiring manager or company must go through the platform. Reaching out to them directly via email, LinkedIn, phone, or any other channel outside Convene is not permitted, unless the hiring manager or Convene has explicitly authorized that contact.
- Do not manipulate submissions. Fabricated, misleading, or inflated submissions will result in account suspension.
Professionalism
- Treat all candidates, hiring managers, and Convene staff with professionalism and respect.
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate behavior of any kind will not be tolerated and may result in immediate account suspension.
Confidentiality
Candidate and company information shared through the platform is confidential. Do not share personal or sensitive information with third parties without explicit consent.
Enforcement
Convene monitors platform activity and reserves the right to investigate reports of misconduct. Accounts found in violation of these rules may be suspended or permanently removed. These rules may be updated at any time — continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any changes.
