Welcome to Convene. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Convene platform, website, applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
By creating an account or using the Services in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Services.
These Terms apply to all users of the platform, including employers, recruiters, candidates, and other visitors.
1. The Convene Platform
Convene provides a platform that connects employers, recruiters, and candidates to facilitate hiring.
Convene provides tools for:
- job postings
- candidate introductions
- interview coordination
- recruiting workflow management
- communication between hiring parties
Convene acts solely as a technology platform facilitating introductions and recruiting coordination.
Convene is not:
- an employer
- a staffing agency
- a recruiter of record
- responsible for hiring decisions made by employers
All hiring decisions are made solely by employers.
2. Account Registration
Certain features of the Services require the creation of an account.
When creating an account, you agree to:
- provide accurate and complete information
- maintain the security of your login credentials
- keep your information up to date
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not:
- impersonate another individual or organization
- create accounts on behalf of others without authorization
- share or transfer your account without permission
Convene may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Platform Users
Users of the platform may include:
- Employers seeking to hire candidates
- Recruiters introducing candidates to roles
- Candidates seeking employment opportunities
When interacting with other users, you agree to act in a professional and lawful manner.
Convene does not guarantee:
- the identity of platform users
- the accuracy of user-submitted information
- the outcome of recruiting engagements
Users interact with one another at their own risk.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Services in a manner that:
- violates any law or regulation
- infringes the rights of others
- misrepresents your identity or affiliation
- attempts to access other user accounts without authorization
- interferes with the operation of the platform
- distributes spam, malicious software, or fraudulent submissions
- attempts to scrape or systematically extract platform data without permission
Convene may remove content or restrict access for violations of these rules.
5. Candidate Data and Privacy
The platform may contain personal information related to candidates and other users.
Users agree to:
- use candidate information solely for legitimate recruiting purposes
- protect candidate data appropriately
- comply with applicable privacy and employment laws
Users may not sell, distribute, or misuse candidate information obtained through the platform.
6. User Content
Users may upload or submit content through the platform, including:
- resumes
- job descriptions
- candidate evaluations
- messages and communications
This content (“User Content”) remains the responsibility of the user who submitted it.
You represent that:
- you have the right to submit the content
- the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- the content does not violate any law or third-party rights
By submitting content to the platform, you grant Convene a license to store, process, and display the content as necessary to operate the Services.
7. Third-Party Services
The Services may integrate with third-party services, such as:
- email providers
- calendar systems
- payment processors
- identity verification services
Convene is not responsible for the terms, policies, or performance of third-party services.
Your use of those services is governed by their respective agreements.
8. Platform Availability
Convene may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue portions of the Services at any time.
We may also introduce new features or place limits on certain functionality.
We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Intellectual Property
All software, design, and platform functionality associated with the Services are owned by Convene or its licensors.
You may not:

- create derivative works
from the Services without permission.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the platform solely for its intended purposes.
10. Disputes Between Users
Convene is not responsible for disputes between platform users.
If a dispute arises between employers, recruiters, or candidates, the parties involved agree to resolve the matter directly.
Convene may review platform records but is not obligated to mediate disputes.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
Convene makes no warranties regarding:
- the reliability of the platform
- the qualifications of candidates
- hiring outcomes
- the accuracy of user-provided information
To the maximum extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are disclaimed.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Convene will not be liable for:
- indirect or consequential damages
- lost profits or business interruption
- hiring outcomes
- user disputes
Total liability arising from the Services will not exceed the amount paid to Convene by the user during the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
13. Account Suspension or Termination
Convene may suspend or terminate accounts for violations of:
- these Terms
- platform policies
- applicable laws
Users may stop using the Services at any time.
Termination does not remove obligations related to payments or other agreements that may apply.
14. Changes to Terms
Convene may update these Terms from time to time.
If material changes occur, we may notify users through the platform or by email.
Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Convene operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
